6000m Expedition boot

A very warm and very light (2290g size 7)  double boot with both an insulated liner and shell. This boot is capable of 6000m peaks and low 7000m peak such as Island peak, Mera Peak and Acongagua.

The outer boot is made from abrasion and water resistant Teramida with lorica and re-inforced stretch cordura and has excellent ankle articulation. In terms of insulation there ia 6mm EVA and a 1.4mm neoprene insole. A TPU rand gives protection and there is a Cordura-Sympatex lining for waterproofness. The outer boot has a traditional lace with pulleys for smooth lacing.

The inner bootie has a highly insulative 3 layer laminate. Reflective aluminium film is bonded to a polyurethane outer layer and and insulative EVA foam on the internal side. The sole of the bootie is covered with a durable textured TPU surface. Easy adjust 'Tanka' and strap closure system with adjustable fit around the instep area.

The G1 Lite has a rubber outdsole with dual density EVA and PU shock absorbing layers. There are differential hardess TPU toe and heel pieces for automatic or semi-automatic crampons.

Fit and sizing: The Boreal last is quite wide at the forefoot; most people find that it is wider than La Sportiva models for example. In terms of sizing it is recommended that a UK size or 1.5 up from you normal walking boot size is a good starting point. This is because of the ample amounts of insulation in the design, thicker socks are the norm and it is imperative that there is ample wriggle room for toes at alll times and room for slight foot edema due to high altitude.

Please note we only carry a few sizes of these in stock but are happy to get any sizes in for you to try on but they can take up to 2 weeks to have them delivered from Spain. Contact to enquire about getting more sizes in.

  • Weight: 2290g (UK7)
