Silva Expedition Compass

This compass comes with loads of useful features. Such as rubber feet to enable precision map work or luminous markings to aid night navigation. But it doesn’t end there. There is also a magnifying lens to better see small details on you map and a clinometer for measuring slope angle. Scales for map measuring can be found in mm or inches for 1:25,000, 140,000, 1:50,000 and GPS scales as well as a scale on the lanyard (1:25 and 1:50) that is flexible enough to measure an accurate distance even on winding routes.

The included slope card can be used to judge avalanche risk potentially making you safer in the hills. It can also be used to identify the difficulty and calculate any extra ground covered on your route allowing for better time management.
