The Duon-Air also features a set of side vents to keep a good level of air flow, this helps to prevent the user getting too hot. The air vents are simple to open and close, this is done so by sliding the panel forwards and backwards. This will stop them from opening and closing on their own once its been used for a while. On the outside of this work safety helmet there are head torch securing lugs. It also has a set of fixing points for ear defenders and also a helmet safety visor. The unique dual rating of this safety helmet is achieved by the very clever chin strap system This chin strap can be adjusted by a twist mechanism, this then alters the tension between strong and weak.
The Duon-Air is available in a wide range of colours. This ensures that you can get the correct colour for the job you are doing, or the qualification you hold for the job you are doing.
Heightec also produce a range of "approved stickers" that can be fitted to the duon-air. These give you the option to have reflective detailing for use at night, or maybe a company logo to identify your staff. The final option is a "First Aid" option so its easy to identify the "First Aid Person" on site!
30mm ‘T-slot’ side fittings for standard ear defenders etc.
Clips for elastic strap mounted lights, cameras etc.
Brackets front and rear for popular cap lamps and other accessories.
Main adjustment to small/medium/large helps keep the helmet centred on the head.
Fine adjustment by ratchet wheel, can be operated with one hand even whilst being worn.
Headband height adjustment allows user to maintain field of view.
6 point head cradle for stability.
EN397 (‘industrial’) has a weak chinstrap to prevent injury if the helmet becomes trapped in machinery etc. and small vents to prevent items such as sparks hitting the wearer.
EN12492 (‘mountaineering’) has a strong chinstrap so the helmet stays in place in a fall – protecting the head, and large vents to help prevent workers getting too hot – an occupational health improvement.
