Lyon Equipment
Lyon's aim is to "Provide Equipment and Expertise for People to Venture Further".
Founded by Ben Lyon in 1967, Lyon Equipment started by making ladders for caving. Now, half a century later, Lyon is a large company with roughly 100 staff which creates and distributes their own equipment as well as several other renowned brands, such as Petzl. They also provide training for rope access and rescue.
The Lyon Frixion SRB is a heavy-duty shear reduction block which offers greater friction than a conventional pulley, reducing the risk of uncontrolled descents. It is ideal for use in high ropes courses, climbing walls and for top rope belaying.
Designed as a temporary ground anchor for the restraint of personnel on cliff edges, or to provide a secondary means of support during stretcher carries on steep or slippery ground, the original Ground Pin Kit has become a 'standard' for rescue professionals operating in difficult, remote terrain.
The Lyon Ground Stake Linking Strap is designed specifically for the rapid creation of ground anchor systems when used in conjunction with the Ground Anchor Stakes.
Durable 13 Litre Cordura Kit Bag with 2 adjustable belt straps, 2 plastic haul loops (these can also be used to connect tool lanyards to) and a drawcord closure. Ideal for use in rope access as a tool bag (big enough and deep enough for most tools).
Lyon Modular First Response Pack for technical rescue teams.
The Lyon Steering Wheel Cap serves as a crucial safety accessory when utilizing a vehicle as an anchor point. Its vibrant orange color ensures high visibility, effectively alerting individuals to stop and indicating that the vehicle is in use as an anchor. For added convenience, there's a clear pouch at the front where keys can be securely stored. Plus, it's designed to fit snugly over all types of steering wheels.
The Synergy reach pole is primarily intended to aid the remote connection of the Synergy pick off rescue kit to a fallen worker. It is especially useful in situations where the casualty is suspended from a deployed fall arrest lanyard, providing the option for recovery without the rescuer having to descend to the casualty.
