The DMM Ultra O is a karabiner with symmetrical rope baskets, this makes it ideal for assisted breaking devices, pulleys, swivels and shackles. Oval karabiners allow pulleys to sit in an equalised position, the symmetrical shape also lessens the chance of shifting under load and potentially dislodging a marginal gear placement. The DMM Vertex Sliding Rest is a replacement hand rest for the Vertex axe. It can be slackened with a lever and moved out of the way up the shaft when using the axe for shaft plunging in steep snow. The Vertex axes already come supplied with these but it can also be used with to DMM Flux and the DMM Spire.
