The Mammut Rime IN Flex is an insulative piece for being on the move. Unlike down, and down-like baffled synthetics, the Rime IN Flex is an air-permeable, breathable jacket, which means that you can wear it on the move, without overheating or becoming too clammy. This makes it not only a great piece for extended technical mountaineering, but also for hiking.
The cut of the jacket is Mammut's regular fit, which means that it will sit nicely over other layers, and this, along with the give in the material, means that your midriff should still be nice and toasty while scrabbling for that next hold. The jacket is filled with OTI stretch insulation for optimum heat retention. The backpack- and climbing harness-compatible pockets make the jacket an essential mountain companion.
The jacket is comparable to the Patagonia Nano-Air Jacket, and while the Nano-Air favours breathability over warmth, the Rime IN Flex favours warmth. As always, we suggest the best way to find out more about the jacket is to come and try it on and talk to us in store, but the sizing seems fairly true, if you are unable to get to us.
