The Black Diamond RockLock Screwgate is BD’s largest locking karabiner, built for belaying, rappelling, and anchors. Its hot-forged aluminium construction combines durability with reduced weight, while the curved spine provides a wide gate opening for easier handling. The square hinge end keeps the belay loop securely in place, and the keylock nose prevents snagging. The DMM Belay Master Clip is a spare locking insert that helps keep your karabiner in the safest orientation while belaying. Designed to prevent cross-loading and only close when the karabiner is locked, it's a small but powerful safety feature for climbers of all levels.

The DMM nylon slings are wider and heavier than Dynatec for the same strength rating. However, it is a good all-round material that withstands repeated flexing better than Dynatec, has greater shock absorbsion, is less expensive and has a higher melting point. This makes nylon slings appropriate for heavy use or where weight isn't a prime consideration.

The big burly top bar is contrasted by our signature I-Beam construction on the non-rope bearing surfaces resulting in a total weight of 72g.

The DMM Ultra O is a karabiner with symmetrical rope baskets, this makes it ideal for assisted breaking devices, pulleys, swivels and shackles. Oval karabiners allow pulleys to sit in an equalised position, the symmetrical shape also lessens the chance of shifting under load and potentially dislodging a marginal gear placement.
