The Petzl Jane-Y is a double progression lanyard that allows continuous connection during rope ascents. The plastic sheaths hold the karabiners in position and facilitate clipping while protecting the terminations from abrasion. It has a 60cm long arm and a 30cm short arm.

The Petzl's Jane uses dynamic rope and two sewn terminations but is stronger and less obstructive than a knotted lanyard. It can be combined with an Absorbica energy absorber to set up an energy-absorbing «I» or «Y» lanyard with a maximum length of two meters. The sewn ends are protected by a plastic sheath to hold the connector in place and protect the terminations from abrasion.

The Petzl Absorbica-Y Tie-Back is a double lanyard with integrated intermediate tie-back rings, a compact energy absorber and MGO connectors. Designed for vertical progression on very large structures and when passing intermediate anchor points, the Absorbica-Y Tie-Back works with users that weigh between 60 and 140kg. The Tie-Back system allows the user to wrap structures with very large cross sections. The arms are elasticized to avoid hindering progression and it's ready to use with two large-opening MGO connectors on the end of the lanyard and a Bm'D connector for harness attachment.

The Beal Dynapark Y-Safety Lanyard consists of two strands of rope that are each 80cm long and made of dynamic rope with sewn-on endings. It is therefore much safer than static lanyards with a strength of 1500daN. For added safety, the karabiners can be attached to the lanyard with the Pinch attachment. To facilitate inspections, each lanyard has a unique identification number and can be fitted with an RFID chip.
