The Werner Sidekick is a kayak paddle that is ideal for playboating. It features full size blades that are slightly angled so that they enter the water more quickly and hence you will get enhanced levels of power. They are also shaped so that they will pass slightly closer to the boat with out hitting it and then tripping the boat over.

The sidekick kayak paddle is ideal style that is ideal for the larger well conditioned paddlers. Also for the larger paddle we stock the Werner Powerhouse paddle, which is more suited towards the river running aspect of white water kayaking. However if you are more into paddling kayak playboats and you are not the largest of Paddlers, why not look at the Werner Player.

Werner Paddles make the Sidekick from their legendary continuous weave glass fibre blades and then these are mounted on a glass fibre shaft. The advantage of using the continuous weave glassfibre is that it offers exceptional strength at a reduced weight. The white water blades of the sidekick paddle also offer a slight dihedral which makes it more efficient for the smooth strokes of maneuvering but while still retaining the power for the forward strokes.
