Access and Rescue

The Petzl Ascentree is a clamp for ascending trees using double ropes and footlocks or pantin foot ascenders. The cam is chrome-plated steel with angled teeth and self-cleaning slot to grip the rope even when muddy or icy. It is integrated into the clamp to stop rubbing.

When you need a reliable connection but need to be able to affect an immediate release this is the karabiner for you. Ideal for helicopter and across river rescues. Double button locking with multiple safety mechanism and a breaking strength of 40kN. Paragliders are able to separate the pilot from his/her glider when using a dirigible rescue system.

The Palm Autolock Karabiner is a large, D-shaped karabiner with anodised finish for durability. The gate is protected with an auto-lock system to prevent accidental opening and automatic locking when closed.

The Palm Wire Gate karabiner is an essential piece of kayak safety kit. Palm Equipment have manufactured the wire gate carabiner from a 13mm anodised aluminium bar that then features a wire gate. The shape of the carabiner will make sure that the rope locates to the base of the crab so that it loads correctly to maintain the strength.

The Petzl Basic ascender is a lightweight, compact and multi-purpose ascender that works great for hauling systems, ascending fixed lines or as self-protection when climbing with a fixed rope. A self cleaning cam and angled teeth ensure a secure grip on the rope.

The Petzl Shunt works as a rappel back-up and is used below the rappel device. The Shunt replaces self-jamming knots like the Prussik and works on single and double ropes. The Shunt has smooth clamping surfaces which won't damage your rope. Designed for multi-pitch climbing and aid climbing the Shunt can also be used for mountaineering.

The Petzl Looping is a 4-step etrier designed for aid climbing and mountaineering but can also be used for multi-pitch climbing and caving. Wide, reinforced nylon webbing makes placing your feet easy while providing abrasion resistance.

The Petzl Ultralegere is one of lightest pulleys available at just 10g. The Ultralegere is s a simple nylon sheave that can be installed on a symmetrically shaped carabiner with ropes between 7 and 13mm.

The Fixe is a lightweight and compact pulley that is quick to install on the rope. Designed for use in hauling systems and deviations it offers a good balance between weight and strength. The Fixe has fixed side plates which allow for quick installation and coupling with a rope clamp. The 21mm aluminium sheave is mounted on self-lubricating bushings for greater efficiency.
