Bestard have designed the Canyon Guide to be a highly versatile boot that will give the best levels of performance in wet environments. The Canyon Guide is based around a Vibram sole unit which incorporates an Idrogrip design which gives great traction on most surfaces. The upper section of the boot is constructed from Cordura, which is then secured by a lacing system. The lacing system also has tension cleats half way up, to ensure you can customise the fit. In the area where the sole meets the upper, there is a rubber pro rand, this also features self-drain holes on both of the inside and outside of the boots, this helps to prevent a build-up of water in the boot. The fit of the boot is designed to work with a neoprene sock or a set of kayak dry trousers that have a fabric sock, so they are quite generous with space.
The Adidas Terrex Hydro Lace Boots are one of the best options if you’re looking for a firm, solid and supportive option for watersports. This is then secured and the foot then held in a secure position by the diagonal lacing system. Further grip and support to the foot is gained by the Velcro adjustable ankle strap.
