The Beal Rope Marker Ink is a specially formulated ink from rope maker Beal for marking climbing ropes safely. The ink has minimal effect on the rope, yet is permanent and resistant to water and abrasion. It does not affect polyamide at all. The container has a small roller at the tip for better inking. This ink is the only safe ink to use with climbing ropes and PPE soft equipment as standard inks, that generally contain solvents, may damage or corrode the rope fibres.

The Edelrid Hot Knife is a mains powered device that allows you to cut ropes and tape, whilst sealing them at the same time. This is easy to use, you simply squeeze the trigger and the blade heats up. You can cut straight away and it will then seal with rope as you cut.
