Future Safety Manta 3 Multi-Role SAR Helmet

The Future Safety Manta 3 Multi-Role SAR Helmet comes with three safety Ratings. It meets EN12492:2012 for Mountaineering. It also meets the requirementrs of PAS028:2002 which denotes it as a Marine Safety Helmet. Furthermore, it also is rated for FS/ATV1 which makes it suitable for Quad and ATV use.

Future Safety have designed the Manta 3 Multi-Role SAR helmets to incorproate two different sizes. There is a standard size which covers head sizes of 53-62cm. Whilst the XL covers head sizes of 63-65cm.

The Manta 3 SAR features a tough and robust ABS plastic outer shell which is blended with a polystyrene lining. The helmet does have vents to keep you cool. But these can also be covered for added protection. Yet further protection is gained by the addition of the integral visor. This will slide up and into the helmet if not required. This visor features an EN166.5-2002 rating for Industrial Eye Protection. The rear of the cradle also incorporates a ratchet adjustment to ensure a snug and secure fit. Further features on the Manta include the visor attachment studs, this enables you to add a marine visor. There are also side slots which are suitable for ear defenders. Additional features include the high levels of impact.  The crown of the helmet will take an impact of 100 jules, whilst the sides of the helmet will withstand a 90 jules impact.  

When it comes down to colour, here are some colour suggestions for a Water Rescue / Emergency Scenario 

White - Team Leaders, Incident Commanders and Supervisors

Red - Swiftwater Rescue Technicians and Trained Rescue operators

Yellow - Flood First Responders or Basic General Operators 

Blue - Coastguard 

Green - Ambulance Service Personnel or Medical Technicians

The Manta 3 SAR Helmet also comes with a few custom options

There is a variety of different colour vent covers. 

There is an option of reflective detailing for enhanced visability during night time operations.

You can also have custom lettering on the helmet. This can denote the name of your team, your personal name or maybe your role as a doctor. 

There is also the option of a marine safety visor. This comes in two sizes and three colour options.
