Petzl Micro Traxion
At 85g, the Petzl Micro Traxion pulley is perfect to keep on your harness for emergency use. Originally designed for crevasse rescue in assisted and z hoists we also feel that it is light enough that it could live on the back of your harness year round for general climbing rescue being much more efficient and smoother to use than a prussik loop.
Petzl Sarken
The Petzl Sarken is a crampon which can be used for both classical mountain routes and for harder more technical routes. This crampon is based on a classic 12 point design but the two front points are very unique compared to any other crampon on the market. The front two teeth are shaped like a T with a slightly longer downward facing point on. This means that they work well when walking on or climbing on soft snow (standard technical points tend to rail).
Petzl Lynx
Roadside ice in Norway, mixed Scottish gullies and alpine glacier crossings, the Petzl Lynx is designed to be used on all. With it’s modular design you can change the crampon set up to match your climbing plans. The front point can be set up as Dual and Mono point or even dual offset points and all three set ups can be changed to give long or short points giving you maximum versatility.
Petzl Nomic
The Petzl Nomic is designed to take on serious ice and mixed climbs the Petzl Nomic has allowed climbers to push the limits of the winter game and with the new improved Nomic this looks set to continue. The new 2011/12 design has kept the same shaft and pick angle as the original Nomic but has had the handle improved with an adjustable grip rest to give a better ergonomic feel (when first released in early 2011 there where some problems with the adjustable grip rest but this has now been fixed by the Petzl boffins).
Grivel Easy G Leash
The Grivel Easy G Leash is a simple leash with a broad supportive loop of material around the wrist that goes tight when pulled down. A loop is fitted around the shaft of the ice tool so that when the wrist is pulled up and away from the tool the wrist loop loosens easily. A good simple design.
Petzl Oscillante Swing Cheek
The Petzl Oscillante Swing Cheek weighs next to nothing at just 42g. The Oscillante can be used in crevasse rescue systems or improvised hauling systems and quickly and easily installs due to its swinging side plates. The nylon sheave and aluminum side plates give an excellent strength to weight ratio.
