The design thought behind this Triple action SUP pump is a 3 stage process. The first stage is getting the SUP board to a rating of about 5PSI. This is dealt with by using both cylinders on the double action setting. The second stage is to then get the board to 10PSi at a reasonable speed, you do this with both cylinders on the single action setting. The final stage of the process is then based around a single action on the one cylinder to get the final required PSI.
