Klean Kanteen was founded in 2004 by inventor Robert Seals, who crafted the first reusable stainless steel water bottle in the U.S., free from aluminum and BPA liners. His groundbreaking design offered a safer, more sustainable alternative to single-use plastics at a time when their environmental impact was just becoming evident.
What began as a small operation at music festivals and environmental fairs quickly grew into a global movement.
