The Montane Men’s Alta Pants are rugged, waterproof shell trousers that have been built for mountaineering, alpinism, ski touring, and winter climbing in extreme conditions. Made from 70D recycled nylon with the latest Gore-Tex Pro ePE membrane, they deliver unbeatable durability, breathability, and PFC/PFAS-free weather protection that's perfect for wet, snowy, and windy mountain missions. Reinforced with Schoeller® Keprotec® Kevlar® at the insteps, these pants resist crampon and rock abrasion with ease. The Mountain Fit accommodates technical layering, while full-length two-way side zips, a stretch bib with detachable braces, and drop-seat functionality ensure comfort and adaptability on demanding ascents. Montane’s Barrier Technology prevents water ingress, and Sew-Free bonded construction reduces weight while increasing comfort and breathability. With a harness-friendly design, internal gaiters, and a secure thigh pocket, the Alta Pants have been built for serious alpine performance.
