Kayaking Gloves or Gloves for Kayaking
The Palm Throttle Gloves are highly versatile part neoprene watersports gloves. They feature neoprene on the top of the hand and Amara on palm. These Throttle Gloves are ideal for all aspects of kayaking, especially white water kayaking. As the Amra palm offers very little resistance on the kayak paddle shaft. The Amara is also great for offering a bit of additional protection when performing water rope rescue.
Palm Equipment have designed the throttle glove to feature a 2mm neoprene top layer, this is what will be exposed to the majority of the elements whilst out kayaking. The palm of the glove then features an Amara construction. Whilst this isn't as warm as neoprene, it is great option for use in kayaking gloves as it offers the perfect amount of grip on your kayak paddle. They have also added additional reinforcement around the thumb and first finger. These are the key areas where you may have a rope passing through whilst peforming some water rope rescue. These kayaking gloves are cut quite short on the wrist, compared to some of the alternative neoprene gloves. The shorter cut works well with a kayaking cagoule. The wirst has a large opening, however it is easily secured closed due to a Velcro closure, the wrist also features a set of small press studs. These simply keep the gloves paired together when not in use. Hoepfully to prevent mispalcing one!
The Palm High Ten neoprene watersports gloves are idea for a variety of uses. They are particularly well suited towards kayaking, Bodyboarding Stand Up paddle boarding and Wild Swimming. These 3mm neoprene gloves feature a very simple design, but they do the job of keeping your hands warm. The high ten glove features a grippy print on the palm, which ensures you, can get a good grip. They also incorporate a pair of press studs so that when these neoprene gloves are not being used, they can be safely stored as a pair.
The Palm Grab Gloves are great for use in the summer time, when you want some basic levels of extra warmth. These neoprene kayaking gloves feature a 2mm neoprene construction, they have also used a super stretch neoprene to get a better quality fit. The seams are all glued and blind stitched for added performance, whilst the glide skin neoprene wrist gives an enhanced seal against your wetsuit. The Palms of these neoprene kayak gloves also incorporate a PU printed grip for enhanced grip.
The Peak UK Pogies feature a very basic design, but they will offer the same great features of all kayaking mitts. These kayak pogies feature a 3 layer breathable nylon construction and incorporate taped seams to keep them waterproof. They easily secure to your kayak paddle via a secure Velcro opening on the underside. The hand tubes feature a wide opening so they are easy to get on and off. The opening however does also feature an elastic drawstring so it can be tightened up to create a good seal around the wrists.
The Palm Descent Pogies, a great way of keeping your hands warm and comfortable during the winter kayaking season. These kayaking pogies are easily secured to your kayak paddle shaft; this is easily done via a Velcro secured opening on the underside of the kayak mitts. Your hands can then easily slide into the pogies, enabling you to keep your hand directly on the paddle shaft for sensitivity. The Descent pogies feature a 3mm neoprene which is also lined with a quick drying thermal liner. Additionally all of the seam are glued and blindstitched to prevent any water ingress through the seams.
The Palm Current Mitts, a pair of Kayak paddle gloves that will keep your hands warm and comfortable whilst on the river. These kayaking pogies are easily attached to a kayak paddle shaft via a Velcro strip; they will offer good protection from the wind, rain and also the sun. The Palm Current mitts feature a fleece liner on the top side and a partial fleece liner on the base. Around the wrist there is then a draw cord which is easily tensioned to give a better seal, while the front seam of the paddle mitts also features reflective detailing.
