The Pesda Press BCU Canoe and Kayak Handbook has been written by a number of different people, some of the authors are a BCU Coach and some of which are Kayaking Equipment manufacturers. Some of the paddlers who have contributed to this publication include; Ray Goodwin, Loel Collins, Graham Mackereth (Pyranha MD), Franco Ferrero and Lara Tipper.

The Canoe and Kayak Handbook is split up into many chapters and this starts with a history of UK Paddlesports. it then continues on to give information on kayak design, canoe skills, kayak skills, safety and leadership, coaching, river access and then then many forms of paddlesport that include; canoe slalom, kayak slalom, white water racing, kayak polo and many many more.

To make sure that as a new comer to the world of paddlesport, they have included a good number of colour pictures and photos. Some of the photos may even offer inspiration to try something different!

In the event that you do not know what some of the specifc paddling terms mean, there is a comprehensive glossary in the rear of the book.
