It can be used for extinguishing the burner, but first remove the rubber washer from inside the cap as this may melt when extinguishing the burner. (Note, do not screw the burner cap on tightly to the burner whilst the burner is still warm, as when it cools down the cap will become very difficult to remove).

The Trangia Rubber Washers (Pair) is simply a pack of 2 spare washers to fit the Trangia burner cap. These prevent meths leaking from the burner when it is being transported. (Note: If the screw cap is used to extinguish the burner, then the rubber washer should be removed first to prevent it from melting due to the heat of the burner).

The Trangia Simmering Ring is a replacement simmer ring. This goes onto the spirit burner in order to limit the burner output. There is a lid that swings over the burner to adjust the simmer level. Watch those fingertips!
