The Vango Storm Shelter 800 is a eight person emergency bothy, an essential piece of kit for anyone taking part in mountain activities. An emergency shelter provides a quick and reliable shelter in emergency situations or if the weather takes a turn for the worse. When in use, the Storm Shelter creates a warm microclimate in which you can take cover until help arrives or until the worst of the storm passes. It comes in a bright orange reflective design so you will be easy to spot on the hillside should you need to be found by rescue teams.

The Silva 4 Militaire is practically the same as the Expedition 4, but graduated in miles rather than degrees as favoured by the armed forces. It features a full-sized base plate, magnifier and rubber feet for precision map work. Specifically designed for use by the British military, the base plate features 1:25k, 1:50k and 1:40k roamer scales, as well as centimetre and inch rulers. The needle and cardinal points feature a luminous compound which is activated by daylight and will maintain brightness for up to 4 hours in darkness. The Silva Expedition 4 is an advanced compass for serious navigation and high levels of accuracy. Primarily used by rescue workers and outdoor enthusiasts on demanding trips, the Expedition 4 offers everything you need in a compass to navigate advanced and precise techniques. It also features a handy map magnifier and Romer scaled suitable for 1:25, 40 and 50,000 grids. Thanks to its luminous markings it is possible to use for night navigation as well.

This is the best map case out there! The case is see through on both sides and is constructed from a rubber that doesn't perish, perforate or tear at the seams (unlike cheaper map cases). The top of the map envelope is watertight and there is an optional carrying cord.

Meindl SportWax has been specifically designed for use with nubuck leather. It will help to condition and keep the leather supple, in turn preventing it from cracking or drying. The leather will lose the brushed nubuck effect and darken, but treatment will improve water-resistance. Water-resistance will be further improved with the use of Wet Proof, particularly in soft leather areas, e.g. the tongue gusset on the Meindl Borneo.

Wet proof is Meindls waterproofing agent for nubuck, suede and fabric boots. It should be used in conjunction with a boot conditioner such as Sportwax or Conditioner and Proof to help prolong the life of your boots.
