The blades feature a foam core and these are then wrapped in carob, the foam core makes them light and buoyant in the water while the carbon gives them added stiffness to give greater more efficient power. The two piece carbon paddle shaft is highly adjustable this is down to it being fitted with the Werner smart view ferrule system. This kayak joint kit; not only splits a paddle in two but it also gives the option to change the leading hand from right to left. In order then to allow for use in different weather conditions, you can alter the angle of feather to a number of different angles which include 0, 15, 30, 45 and also 60 degrees. Finally, the paddle is fitted with kayak drip guards, this helps to prevent the water from running down the shaft and getting your hands wet.
