The Wilderness Systems Tarpon E 120 is a single seat sit-on-top kayak that's ideal for longer touring trips. This Tarpon 120 features both a longer length and a longer keel line, so it will deliver more forwards speed but a slight reduction in manoeuvrability. This kayak has been designed around a self-bailing hull system for safety, it incorporates lots of storage so you have to option to do an overnight trip, it also features a comfortable and highly adjustable padded kayak seat. Multiple grab handle make it easy to man handle on and off the water.
If you happen to capsize, you can easily turn the sit on kayak back over in the water. The water will then drain out of the cockpit area and you can climb back on and continue your kayak journey. If you're out for a longer kayaking trip, there's a good amount of storage for all your kayaking gear. There are front and central hinged kayak hatches and a rear tankwell. The rear tankwell is made secure with bungee storage elastics. The seating system is extremely comfortable, thanks to the padded kayak seat and adjustable backrest, the backrest can be adjusted by height and angle to offer extra support for the legs if required. Further comfort and support is achieved by the adjustable kayak footrests.
As this sit on kayak is longer than average, it is also suitable for coastal kayak fishing. With this in mind, the Tarpon 120 comes fitted with the Wilderness Systems SlideTrax system on the front and rear of the kayak. This is perfect for mounting a kayak fishing rod holder.
