The Edelrid Ohm is an assisted-braking resistor for increasing rope friction when there is a large weight difference between the belayer and lead climber. In the event of a fall, the OHM increases the amount of rope friction so that a lighter belayer can hold a heavier lead climber without difficulty.
The Ohm is attached to the first clip point and provides added friction when the climber weights the rope. This will help stop the belayer being lifted off the ground, or the climber hitting the deck if they aren't far up. It also provides for a nice smooth lower off. Designed to only add friction when the rope is weighted, you won't notice it when climbing or paying out, only when it's needed!
Features:Belayer requires significantly less hand braking force to arrest a fallLowering a heavier climber is much easier to controlOHM is attached at the first bolt in the safety chainShould a lead climber fall at the first bolt, the OHM significantly reduces the risk of a possible ground fallRope handling when belaying a lead climber not affected (no additional friction when paying out rope)Recommended weight difference (lead climber > belayer): 10–40 kgMinimum belayer weight: 40 kgFor single ropes from 8.9–11.0 mm

The Beal Birdie is a compact, brake-assisted belay device that's great for sport climbing and top roping. It's 100% metal construction with a stainless steel forged cam allows for much greater durability compared to other similar devices on the market. The Birdie allows for rope to exit along a straight axis which prevents and twisting or pig-tailing. Ergonomic and easy to use, the Birdie is an excellent choice for both beginners and more experienced climbers.
The Climbing Technology Alpine Up Kit is the most complete and versatile belay / rappel device ever produced. It has been developed especially for mountaineering and it can be used with half, twin and single ropes. Extremely advantageous, it allows self-locking abseiling and it can be used in three different belay modes, depending on the terrain.
The Climbing Technology Click Up Kit is a belay device with manual braking, especially designed for crag climbing. It can be used with Ø 8.6 ÷ 10.5 mm single ropes. It is compact and lightweight and allows for belaying a leader and belaying a top-roping climber with both hands handling the rope, or for lowering the climber.
The Climbing Technology Click Up Plus is an evolution of the tried, tested and well loved Click Up belay device. It allows traditional belaying techniques to be used (as you would employ with a Bug, ATC etc.) but with the additional safety feature of assisted breaking. Designed specifically for indoor and sport climbing, it works for top roping and lead belaying on dynamic single ropes of 8.5mm to 11mm diameter.
The Mammut Smart 2.0 is a reliable and intuitive belay device with a newly developed brake insert that blocks the rope in the event of a fall. This new version of the Smart belay device offers significantly improved braking effectiveness as well as optimized geometry and intuitive handling.
The Petzl Grigri is n single rope belay device with an assisted braking system. The internal cam pinches the rope as it is weighted, pivoting the device. Along with good belaying technique, the assisted braking helps hold a climber and catch them in a fall. The progressive action of the cam allows gradual control when lowering a climber.
The Y&Y Vertical Plas Fun belay glasses are an inexpensive way to help belayers from having to tilt their heads back for long periods of time. This helps to relax muscles in the neck area so you're ready when it's your turn to climb. The lenses have a very high optical quality and the minimal frames mean that you can watch both your climber and your surroundings at the same time. The Plasfun also works with glasses and sunglasses so everyone can use them indoors or outdoors.
The Petzl Grigri + is an assisted braking belay device that features an anti-panic handle. It is particularly suitable for learning and intensive use, such as belaying a partner whose really trying to push their sports grade, or for beginners who have just started belaying. The Grigri + is a cam-assisted blocking device for climbing in the gym or outside. The selector knob allows the user to choose between two belay modes: top-rope or lead climbing. Reinforced for intensive use, it can be used with single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm.
