It has a tough and durable fabric construction and is secured via roll top closure with a single buckle. The bag ius easy to pack, due to the wide opening beck. The rope also exits the bag on the base, so you can clip in with a karabiner. The final feature of the Colca are the sewn eyelets on the back, to make it compatible with a waist mounted belt system.
