Palm Equipment have designed the Gradient Boots to be based around a Vibram sole unit. The multitendo sole pattern, combined with the HydroGrip compound gives great levels of traction on most surfaces. The sole unit is low profile so it fits into most of kayaks with ease. Internally the mid sole offers cushioning for comfort. While a removable insole also offers potential to change the volume of the boot, for the perfect fit. The paddling specific cut also ensures that the performance of the Gradient is at its highest, so they can be used with the fabric socks of a kayaking drysuit. These kayaking boots are easy to get on and off due to the large opening, the pull tab on the rear also assists getting the boots on. Once on the foot, the fit is held firm and securly by the lace up closure system. They also come supplied with a second set of contrasting laces to make an on the water fashion statement. The upper of the shoe int he front is manly synthetic, however there is a small amount of neoprene which holds the rear of the foot and the ankle. For enhanced warmth, we would suggest the addition of a full neoprene sock.
