Peak PS Wrapid Guide PFD

The Peak PS Wrapid Guide is a high specification whitewater kayaking PFD, which is perfect for more technical river running. The Wrapid Guide is based around a new platform that sees a radical change to kayaking PFD design. It features an internal chest stap for the snug and secure fit that safety demands. The classic waist belt is no longer present, which results in the PFD being a bit shorter in design. Internally the new chest strap, secures with a single buckle. The PFD then incorporates a semi over the head and semi side entry design which is exceptionally easy to get on and off. The PFD then has a second level of securing to the torso via an external single large 38mm buckle and the dual tension chest harness. The final trimming of adjustment is carried out by the lower belt on each side of the pfd. You can also use the chest harness on the right and side. Further adjustment also comes via the shoulder straps. These are hidden by the shoulder pads, which also offer enhanced comfort. There are then vast amounts of storage in the Wrapid Guide due to the five front pockets.

The Peak PS Wrapid Guide PFD should be one of the top considerations when looking for a new whitewater kayaking PFD. This is a great option for those who are looking to progress onto the more technical elememts of whitewater, espeically if you need a chest harness for a rescue situation.

Peak PS have designed the Wrapid Guide around a new template that changes the standards of the classic kayaking PFD. The biggest change with the Wrapid Guide is the lack of the 25mm waist belt that was often found on the base of the PFD. This has now been incoporated in the main torso section and is hidden by the PFD itself. The new internal chest strap, secures to the torso via a single 38mm buckle. The Wrapid Guide is exceptionally easy to get on and off the torso, as it incorporates a dual over head and side entry system. When on the torso, you can then secure the external 38mm buckle for a snug and secure fit. This is then easily tensioned on each side, at the base of the pfd. The compression straps simply pull forwards. There is then further adjustment, which comes from the adjustable shoulder straps. This adjustment is then concealed by the shoulder pads, which also offer enhanced comfort when carrying a kayak. There is a vast amount of storage built into the design of the Wrapid Guide, as there are five front pockets.  The main pocket has internal anchor points and also some smaller divider pouches. The second pocket has one large area and an internal anchor point whilst the 3rd small pocket on the base is ideal for a river knife. The fourth and fifth pocket are located on each side of the chest and are symmetrical. All pockets are secured by a zip closure.
