The Petzl Shunt works as a rappel back-up and is used below the rappel device. The Shunt replaces self-jamming knots like the Prussik and works on single and double ropes. The Shunt has smooth clamping surfaces which won't damage your rope. Designed for multi-pitch climbing and aid climbing the Shunt can also be used for mountaineering.

Petzl's Perfo Spe Anchor Driver is a hand drill for use with 8mm self drilling anchors such as the Petzl Cheville. It is compact and lightweight, with a pivoting handle to assist with grip in damp cave conditions. Petzl have instructions for use with the Cheville expansion bolts here

The Petzl Bolt Bag is great for organising your hammer, bolting gear and other equipment that you may be using. A large buckled pocket allows for secure storage and a small internal pocket helps organise smaller bits. The bolt bag also has an external holster for easy storage and axes to your hammer.

The Coudee is a simple hanger for use with 8mm spits that holds the karabiner or maillon perpendicular to the rock, thus reducing rope abrasion. This is useful for situations where a pitch is to be rigged as a pull through, but could increase wear on karabiners if the rope is to be re-ascended. In this situation, a Vrillee twist hangerwould be better.

The Petzl Freino is a twist-lock karabiner that incorporates an integral braking system for improving friction on descenders and belay devices. Works extremely well with the Grigri when using slimmer ropes such as the Beal Booster, which can normally be a struggle. The Freino is ideal for adding or adjusting friction during descents.

The Kong Oka is a new descender especially conceived for canyoning, designed not only for progression on rope but also for the use in emergency, recovery and rescue situations, very difficult to manage with other devices. The use is quick, safe and effective in every condition.

The Petzl Pirana Club is an adjustable friction descender for canyoning that's designed for group use and beginners to the sport. It has three rope installation options and allows you to adapt the degree of friction before initiating a descent. It works well when used both right-handed and left-handed. The plastic ring makes rope installation easier, keeping the device connected to the harness and limiting the risk of dropping the device.
