The Scarpa Vapour Lace is probably the best all round climbing shoe in the world.. and it just got better! A high tension boot with a narrow last and central toe point makes the Vapour Lace ideal for a close fitting and precise fit. That centre toe point also works well for those with Morten's Toe. The Vapour Lace is slightly downturned and stiff, to give extra purchase on steep, small holds. This is compounded using Vibram's XS Edge rubber technology.

The Scarpa Vapour Lace offers supportive edging with versatility aimed at more technical outdoor routes. A slightly downturned shape and a medium to low angled toe box results in a well balanced shoe that offers great performance in all climbing styles. Developed to provide maximum edging support, the VIBRAM® XS Edge compound delivers excellent pure grip while adding improved firmness for the most challenging edging moves. Thanks to an improved resistance to plastic distortion, it keeps its shape even after hours of use, maintains consistent feel in both hot and cold temperatures, and is formulated for improved durability.

We have found that the original blue (Ocean Yellow) version is actually quite a soft shoe, so if you are moving from that to the latest (Smoke Yellow) version expect a much stiffer shoe.

Specifications:
Upper: Multi panel upper, made of dual ply Lorenzi microfibre. Leather panels wrap the toes and the base of the foot. TPU laminate limits stretch and provides lacing support.
Technologies: the D2 rubber seamlessly joins the softer M50 rubber over the toes with a more supportive rubber around the front of the foot to increase comfort and provide better toe precision. The PAF system distributes pressure evenly across the heel zone avoiding pressure on the Achilles tendon.
