The click-up mode (Hand assisted braking) allows:belaying a lead climber on multi pitch sport climbing routes (bolted);self-locking abseiling, using the folding handle;absolute safety, even if the rope is incorrectly inserted.
The dynamic mode (Manual braking) allows:belaying a lead climber on alpine route or ice climbing (friends, nuts and pitons);braking friction with “V” grooves, similar to a tube device;abseiling with “V” grooves brake.
The guide mode allows:independent and self-locking belaying of one or two seconding climbers;possibility of gradual releasing of a second under tension, by placing a biner in the proper hole.
Attention! Read carefully the device instructions before use.ALPINE UP is supplied and must be used with the proper CONCEPT SGL HC carabiner with hardcoated wear-proof anodization and ACL system that prevents the possibility of the cross loading.
The Beal DynaConnexion is a dynamic rope sling with sewn endings for use in big wall climbing and mountaineering. It has been developed by André Laperriere of the Mountain and Rock Climbing Federation of Quebec, it has a breaking load 22 kN and its seams are protected by a thermo-retractable sheath. The DynaConnexion is perfect for use on long routes or in mountaineering to shortlink into the belay, to facilitate rappelling or to extend a runner whilst climbing.
The Beal Dynaloop is a dynamic rope sling that measures 8.3mm in diameter. Reaching the EN 566 standard, it can be used for equalising a belay, clipping in, or extending an anchor point. The benefit of using rope slings over webbing is that the core is protected from UV and abrasion damage by the outer sheath.
The Petzl Dual Connect Adjust lanyard is a double positioning lanyard with one fixed arm and one adjustable arm. The adjustable arm can be set to length for rappel maneuvers, on multi-pitch routes, in mountaineering, or when moving along a fixed line. This is a single device that replaces the need to have two separate slings, so can be used for a variety of different scenarios while playing in the mountains.
The Beal Birdie is a compact, brake-assisted belay device that's great for sport climbing and top roping. It's 100% metal construction with a stainless steel forged cam allows for much greater durability compared to other similar devices on the market. The Birdie allows for rope to exit along a straight axis which prevents and twisting or pig-tailing. Ergonomic and easy to use, the Birdie is an excellent choice for both beginners and more experienced climbers.
The Mammut Smart 2.0 is a reliable and intuitive belay device with a newly developed brake insert that blocks the rope in the event of a fall. This new version of the Smart belay device offers significantly improved braking effectiveness as well as optimized geometry and intuitive handling.
The Petzl Grigri is n single rope belay device with an assisted braking system. The internal cam pinches the rope as it is weighted, pivoting the device. Along with good belaying technique, the assisted braking helps hold a climber and catch them in a fall. The progressive action of the cam allows gradual control when lowering a climber.
