The DMM Deadman lets you make the most of this medium and improves on the classic ice axe belay by creating a larger surface area that increases resistance to the placement pulling through. Used in snow gullies and below cornice top outs, the Deadman creates protection out of nothing and provides security in the most insecure places.

The DMM Freedom Revo Leash provides you with the freedom and versatility of leashless climbing, whilst still preventing your axes from falling if you do drop them. While leashless climbing is incredibly liberating, dropping your axe halfway up a route is not an option. The double Revo leash has a clip in point half way up. If you fall off but your axes hold, this allows you to clip a sling into the leash and pull back to your axes. A feature you hopefully won’t have to use, but will be glad of if you do.

Available as a stand-alone item, the DMM Slide Lock Leash is suitable for axes up to 55cm long. Employing a minimalist design for improved functionality and durability, the Slide Lock Leash is intuitive to use and operable with one hand. Vari-width wrist webbing ensures comfort without unnecessary padding or bulk; minimising water absorption. It replaces DMM's Standard and Choke Hold Leashes for winter walking and mountaineering.

The DMM Vertex Sliding Rest is a replacement hand rest for the Vertex axe. It can be slackened with a lever and moved out of the way up the shaft when using the axe for shaft plunging in steep snow. The Vertex axes already come supplied with these but it can also be used with to DMM Flux and the DMM Spire.
