Lyon Equipment
Lyon's aim is to "Provide Equipment and Expertise for People to Venture Further".
Founded by Ben Lyon in 1967, Lyon Equipment started by making ladders for caving. Now, half a century later, Lyon is a large company with roughly 100 staff which creates and distributes their own equipment as well as several other renowned brands, such as Petzl. They also provide training for rope access and rescue.
The Lyon 30KN Nylon Sling is 25mm wide and available in lengths from 20cm to 480cm. Lyon's Nylon 25mm Textile Slings are the workhorse of their textile anchor selection. Used throughout the work and rescue sectors, these slings enable anchors to be quickly created around a variety of natural and artificial features.
The Lyon 30KN Nylon Sling with Protective Sleeve is the workhorse of their textile anchor selection. This option is fitted with a yellow textile over-sleeve for enhanced protection from light abrasion, dirt etc.
The Lyon Adjustable Rope Lanyard is designed as a flexible connecting element for use within a work at height system (work restraint or work positioning). It is not to be used for fall arrest or in conjunction with an energy absorber. Conforms to EN 358.
The Lyon Anchor Strop is a 7mm galvanised steel cable with plastic protective sleeve and eyelet ends. WLL 500kg, conforms to EN795B.
The Lyon Canvas Connectable Edge Sheet provides limited protection for fixed ropes from abrasion. It may also assist in containing loose, lightweight materials which may be dislodged during technical rope work in the natural environment.
