Since our inception in 1977 Up and Under has been the leading supplier to Outdoor Education Centres, Outdoor Activity Centres and many government agenices including; UK wide Police Forces, Fire Brigades and many departments of the Ministry of Defence.
Unlike many outdoor businesses, Up and Under is still owned by the people who founded the business and are not answerable to to shareholders, and yes the owners still do work here on a day to day basis (though not every day).
Our contracts and senior management team have close to a cumulative 200 years of experience in this field. So you can be assured of the best levels of help, guidance and service.

Where the products available aren't up to the task we have designed and manufactured specific Outdoor Education purposed clothing and equipment in consultation with a number of Heads of Centres, including products such as our reknowned Centre Cags and Overtrousers and the tried and tested Cordura Universal PFD. Up and Under Centre Jacket Junior
The Up and Under Centre Jacket Junior is the premium outdoor centre waterproof jacket in the UK market place. It follows on from the Cag, which has been around for 40 years and had been tried and thoroughly tested. The Jacket, has now been available since 2023 and is setting the required bench mark! This is the centre waterproof jacket that others manufacturers copy and aspire to produce. But they always fall short! All the outdoor centre waterproof clothing we produce, has the same design philosophy. In short, it must be simple, durable, versatile and offer a great level of performance. The Centre Jacket Junior incorporates a zip front opening design. It also features a double storm flap for enhanced levels of protection. There is also an internal pocket for items such as a phone. There are large pockets on the front, the left hand pocket also features a colour coded patch to denote size. The hood is large and is also helmet compatible, it also has a volume adjuster. The cuffs incorporate a Velro adjuster for a snug and seure fit.

OCUN Twist Rental
The Twist Rental climbing harness by OCUN is an adjustable and robustly constructed harness that should fit most adults and has additional safety features. The tie-in loop and the transition to the leg and hip straps are contrasting in colour to emphasise the correct tie-in point. Beal Wall Cruiser 9.6mm Unicore
The Beal Wall Cruiser 9.6mm Unicore is intended for use in indoor climbing and is a light but strong rope ideal for young climbers. The diameter of this rope is suitable for beginners and makes it easier to place in the belay device. Thanks to its thinness and manoeuvrability it can also be appreciated by experienced climbers.
