The Werner Powerhouse is a mid range kayak paddle that is perfect for white water, kayak surfing and some play-boating. This powerhouse features a straight shaft with glass blades. However there are a few other variations of it. These include Powerhouse cranks, Powerhouse carbon and also a Powerhouse carbon crank. For those of you who may require split paddles there is a 4-way version of it also.
WernerPaddles have designed the Powerhouse to be very similar to the Sherpa. The only difference is the powerhouse has larger blades. The blades are made from a continuous weave glass fibre cloth, while the shaft is made from a blend of glass fibre and carbon. The powerhouse is available in several different lengths and two different feathers. On the prominent hand of the paddle, you will find that Werner has then shaped this to an oval where you grip it. This oval helps to make it easier to feel if you have got the paddles the correct way round when attempting an Eskimo roll.
