The Evolv Royales are comfortable, adaptable to many different foot shapes and supportive. The ideal shoe to introduce a climber to any discipline of the sport or alternatively, they would be great as multi-pitch/all-day shoes.

The Evolv Royales have a mesh-backed tongue and partially lined leather upper making them comfortable and preventing excessive stretching. Their thick 5mm sole and VTR3D rand system (also seen in the Evolv Elektras) gives good edging capabilities and increases longevity. This is important for beginners who haven’t quite mastered technical footwork and don’t want their big toes poking through after a couple of weeks.
 
Laces extend to the toe of the shoe giving a highly adjustable upper. It has a reasonably broad last and a symmetrical toe box which combine to provide a very accommodating fit.  It has a very stiff midsole for great support and very little aggression in the heel which helps to make the Royales more comfortable on long days cragging.
 
An entry-level shoe that combines comfort with Evolv’s legendry sticky rubber.
