The DMM Revolver is certified for use as both a karabiner and a pulley. It is the same as DMM's standard Revolver karabiner, but it features a locking gate which provides extra security. There is a small wheel in the rope location groove to reduce rope drag, allowing the rope to run more efficiently through the karabiner. The Petzl Rollclip A is a carabiner with an integrated pulley to reduce friction and redirect the rope. With the A version of the Rollclip the gate opening is on the pulley side to facilitate installation of the rope when the pulley is fixed to the anchor or device.

The Petzl Rollclip Z is a carabiner with an integrated pulley for reducing friction and redirecting rope. The Z specific model has a gate which opens on the non-pulley side of the carabiner, to allow for easier installation onto anchors and other devices.
