The Petzl Simple is a lightweight descender for caving. As its name implies, it is simple to use with 8.5 to 11mm diameter low-stretch kernmantle ropes. Its reduced bulk and low-weight simplify porgression in narrow passages, whilst the pulleys can be rotated or replaced to prolong the duration of use over time.
Features:Simple to use:Very easy to use; the rate of descent is controlled by varying the grip on the free end of the ropeInstallation diagram engraved on the descenderSafety gate on the openable side plate allows the rope to be installed easily while the device remains connected to the harness, making it easier to pass intermediate anchorsElongated connection hole allows the FREINO Z carabiner to be rotated to help prevent dropping the descender when transferred from gear loop to attachment pointCompatible with 8.5 to 11 mm diameter low stretch kernmantle ropesLightweight and compact:Only 240gIncludes two aluminum pulleys for reduced weightClean design limits risk of snagging in narrow passagesLifespan of the device can be optimized by rotating the pulleys or replacing them (D004CA00)

The Petzl Auxiliary open brake for I'D has been designed for I'D self-braking descenders. It may be used to increase the friction in accordance with the weight of the load and the diameter of the rope, or to release the rope at any time.
The Petzl Chicane auxiliary braking device allows Zigzag and Zigzag Plus mechanical Prusiks to be used on single ropes. It provides continuous additional friction on descents. The excellent compatibility of the Chicane and mechanical Prusik as an assembled unit ensures smooth rope glide through the brake during ascents. The ergonomic handle provides excellent grip and facilitates movement while limb walking. Thanks to the openable side plate, installation is quick and easy.
The petzl ZigZag is a mechanical Prusik that allows the user to move around efficiently in a tree using a classic Prusik pulley system technique. The friction chain provides precision and fluidity when moving around. The pulley is mounted on sealed ball bearings to allow the slack to be taken up easily. Can be used on either doubled ropes or a single rope, providing great versatility.
The Kong Oka is a new descender especially conceived for canyoning, designed not only for progression on rope but also for the use in emergency, recovery and rescue situations, very difficult to manage with other devices. The use is quick, safe and effective in every condition.
The Petzl 5 Bar Rack is an update of the classic brake bar descender. The design and configuration of the bars makes setting up and inserting the rope easy. The device allows the user to adjust the number of bars engaged on the rope to obtain the necessary the amount of friction while descending to adapt to changing conditions such as rope weight, terrain, etc. The rack is designed to use on long descents on single or double ropes.
The Petzl Pirana Club is an adjustable friction descender for canyoning that's designed for group use and beginners to the sport. It has three rope installation options and allows you to adapt the degree of friction before initiating a descent. It works well when used both right-handed and left-handed. The plastic ring makes rope installation easier, keeping the device connected to the harness and limiting the risk of dropping the device.
The Petzl Rig Descender is a compact, self-braking descender for use in rope access by experienced users. It features an ergonomic handle that allows for a comfortable descent control and its auto-lock system allows users to easily position themselves at the work station, without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device. Once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle. The safety gate allows the rope to be installed with the device remaining connected to the harness.
The Petzl Stop is a popular choice of descender, thanks to it being easy to use and having the backup of the automatic brake (remember to lock it off if you've stopped though!). It can also be used instead of a chest jammer in an emergency on short pitches. The downside is that it can get a bit warm on long descents of a dry rope (think Alum pot North West) so take a squeezy bottle of water with you!
