Designed specifically for extreme downriver racing
like the Adidas Sickline World Championships, the Werner Odachi brings Werner's bomber repuataion to a top level racing paddle. With a long blade length
(49cm) for more leverage and a race inspired blade tip
, the blade is reinforced Dynel®
edging which is highly abrasion and impact resistant, protecting the fine-tuned carbon blades from the elements.
Remarkably stiff and light, the large blade rewards good forward paddling techique with the most power per stroke of the whole Werner range. This results in more boat speed and bigger boofs, along with faster race times.
Designed specifically for racing from the ground up, the Odachi handles compeltely differently to the rest of Werners range of River Running and Creeking paddles. Aggressively styled paddle blades move the blade well ahead of the shaft and hand to maximize the time in which the paddle is in the “power zone” which is between your feet and your hips. This off set blade design can cause problems when bracing and rolling, and throw off your fine adjustment strokes like bow draws and rudders. For a premium Werener paddle without the offset blade design take a look at the Werner Stikine
or the Werner Double-Diamond.Aniol SERRASOLSES (ESP)
