Five Ten Verdon
Whilst you might not expect it the level of comfort out of the box is pretty good given that this is a performance shoe. Whilst not having much of any downturn the Verdon does suit people used to down turned shoes that want something to complement their softer bouldering / indoor shoes and get something for hard trad or matchstick edges. The molded thermoplastic midsole complimented by a molded piece of EVA fills in the dead space of the natural curves of the foot supporting your bone and muscle structure, and a lace closure assists with locking the foot into place. The perforated tongue as well as the leather upper lined with Clarino offers good levels of comfort. Tried and true Stealth C4 allows you to stick to barely-there edges, lock into smears on microscopic nubbins and cruise up technical terrain with unparalleled confidence in your feet.

The Five Ten Kirigami is a great choice for beginners or advanced climbers looking for a more comfortable shoe this has just the right features, and pulls them off really well. We were unsure when Adidas had taken over Five Ten, but they've really surprised us with the Kirigami. We reckon it's the best beginner climbing shoe if the fit's right.
