NRS have designed their Ninja PFD to feature a partial over the head / side entry design. The Ninja also incorporates the NRS orbit fit system. The orbit fit system is designed to achieve a number of elements and these are; to enhance overall comfort, increase the range of movement and to reduce the desire to over tighten the pfd generally. The Ninja also incorporates the NRS Every Body Design Philosophy which relooks at the design of a PFD, Thus it uses new technology to eliminate the need for gender specific options. Most importanly, this whitewater kayaking PFD features a 3D waist belt design, which also incorproates a silicone coated waist belt. This offers and ensures a snug and secure fit on the torso. The snug and secure fit is also achieved by the two sets of side compression straps and also the adjustabe shoulde straps.
When it comes to useable features, the Ninja has been well loaded with these also. Firstly, there is a large opening clam shell style pocket. This incporates a compartmentalized design, so you can easily store your kayak safety tape, karabiner and your suncream! Below the main zip pocket, there is a lash tab that is ideal for a water rescue knife or a strobe. The the main key feature on this is the internal hand warmer pocket, however this is also perfect for storing your kayaking skull cap or a pair of gloves when they are not being used.
