Jobe have designed the Tasman kayak to feature a three-bladder design, the first bladder is the floor and the next two bladders and the left- and right-hand sides walls. The drop stitch constructed ensures that the thickness of the walls have been reduced, this also brings the weight down whilst also making the kayak easier to paddle. With the enhanced stiffness, it also ensures the hull will stay in profile for efficiency. Each end of the kayak features a strong keel line and is reinforced with a plastic cap, which also offers further protection should you hit a rock. On each end of the kayak and the sides are grab handles. This makes it exceptionally easy to manoeuvre the kayak when getting on and off the water. The ends of the kayak also feature splash guards; this helps to prevent water from getting into the kayak in choppier waters. Should any water get into the kayak, there is a drain plug on the rear makes for ease of emptying. Each splash guard also features a set of deck lines; these are ideal for securing items such as a drybag.
