With an ultra-sticky Zenith Pro™ rubber outsole, secure footwrap closure, and excellent friction across edges, smears, toe and heel hooks, it's made for bouldering and the hardest sport routes. The special anti-deformation midsole ensures consistent performance over time, while the split leather upper moUlds to your foot for a snug and sensitive fit.

The Boreal Mutant 3.0 has been built to perform on any terrain and deliver exceptional grip, whether on micro-edges, polished smears, or committing toe and heel hooks. At the heart of the Mutant is Boreal’s ultra-sticky Zenith Pro™ rubber outsole, providing top-tier traction and confidence across technical boulders and overhanging routes. The outsole ranges from 4 to 4.5mm in thickness (depending on size), balancing sensitivity with durability. The footwrap closure system, combining an elastic tongue with a secure strap, hugs the foot closely for a locked-in feel while allowing fast on/off between burns. An extra-thin rubber toe patch enhances grip and protection during toe hooks, while the special anti-deformation midsole maintains shape and responsiveness over time. Crafted with high-quality split leather uppers, the Mutant offers a precise fit without a lining, allowing it to mold naturally to your foot.
