Petzl
Petzl is a family business that, over the years, has become the largest European manufacturer of personal protective equipment for those who work and play in darkness or at height.
All of their products are invented and developed at their headquarters in the heart of the French Alps.
Petzl aims "to go farther and higher, to work more efficiently, to maximize safety and to make what was inaccessible today accessible tomorrow".
The Petzl Sequoia Adjustable Bridge is suitable for use with the Sequoia® and Sequoia® SRT harnesses that allows quick and precise adjustment of the position of progression tools installed on the bridge.
The Petzl Shunt works as a rappel back-up and is used below the rappel device. The Shunt replaces self-jamming knots like the Prussik and works on single and double ropes. The Shunt has smooth clamping surfaces which won't damage your rope. Designed for multi-pitch climbing and aid climbing the Shunt can also be used for mountaineering.
The Petzl Simba Full Body Harness is designed for small children that do not have well-defined enough hips for a waist-belt to latch onto, the full body design is necessary for safety. The Petzl Simba harness is suitable for children from 5 to 10 years old, weighing less than 40kg. Designed for via ferrata and sport climbing the Simba harness is also good for caving and canyonning.
As the name implies, the Petzl Simple is an easy-to-use caving descender. It can be used with 8.5 to 11 mm diameter low stretch kern-mantle ropes. Reduced bulk and low weight simplify progression in narrow passages. The pulleys can be rotated or replaced to prolong the duration of use over time.
The Petzl Sky Hook & Sling is a wide hook for aiding designed for larger features, bars and holes, also known as the Goutte D'Eau.
The Smallest Sky Hook we can find. Ideal for Bat Hooking and very small edges. It has a filed hook so it can fit in Drilled 10mm holes. For bigger edges and flakes the check out the Black Diamond Cliffhanger or Petzl Sky Hook.
The Petzl Stop is a popular choice of descender, thanks to it being easy to use and having the backup of the automatic brake (remember to lock it off if you've stopped though!). It can also be used instead of a chest jammer in an emergency on short pitches. The downside is that it can get a bit warm on long descents of a dry rope (think Alum pot North West) so take a squeezy bottle of water with you!
The Petzl Storage Bag has been designed to protect the Vertex and Strato helmets during storage and transport. Thanks to a closed interior compartment, accessories are also protected.
